the water and land dharma function of shaolin temple in xinchou year entered the 3rd day on may 22, 2021. the inner shrine was sponsored the building of boundaries for the dharma session and the issuance of invitations meanwhile the outer shrine was conducting as scheduled the same day.

the inner shrine is the center of the whole water and land dharma function. dozens of the dharma paintings were hung around the inner shrine. the water and land dharma function invited counterparts of paintings including buddhas, bodhisattvas, dharmapalas naga and deva to the buddhist shrines, and offered dharma foods to hungry ghosts, to release souls from suffering and benefit six beings in hell.

shaolin temple’ s water and land dharma function in xinchou year set the inner shrine at the great enlightenment hall in shaolin temple. benefactors invited dharma masters presiding the assembly to build and purify boundaries for the dharma session at 2:30 am.

at 5 am, aromatic petals, lamps, flags and guards of honor walked ahead and masters guided benefactors to purify around each altar mouth which would become holy land where clear water came as pure and indestructible glass.

invitations from the inner shrine were issued at 8 am. the three gurus and masters rang and chanted, sent messengers to issue invitations to beings from the heaven to the nether world to come to attend the dharma function in shaolin temple and benefiting from it.

then three masters of the inner shrine guided benefactors to the gateway for the invitations of holy ones, held banners high to worship the great general of shrines, claiming to the three realms to gather here to attend the dharma function.

the invitations were completely issued. the water and land dharma function became a holy land that the water, land and air were united. holy ones to protect and evils could not invade it. buddhist flags and lamps were hung to make beings see clear at anytime of day or night, attracting ghosts to gather here to share the benefit of dharma and wisdom.
