january 25 in 2022 or the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month is the traditional festival of kitchen god in the north, also called the little new year. meanwhile this day is also shaolin temple’ s dharma protector-- bodhisattva kimnnara’ s birthday.
to mark kimnnara’ s birthday, shaolin monks gathered at the kimnnara hall and hosted the sacrifice offering prayer. abbot shi yongxin of shaolin temple presided over the dharma assembly, guiding people devoutly to pray. the assembly was solemn and peaceful. the merits and virtues were transferred to world peace, prosperity of our country and happiness of our people as well as good weather for the crops.
