it is dry in winter and autumn. shaolin temple is located in the national forest park. as a world cultural heritage site, its wooden structure buildings are numerous. to further popularize fire-fighting knowledge, strengthen fire-fighting consciousness, improve fire emergency reaction capacity of shaolin temple’ s monks and workers, and ensure life and property security of shaolin temple, monks, visitors and others, shaolin temple invited the fire rescue team of dengfeng city to host fire safety training and drills for shaolin monks.    

according to the actual situation, firefighters from the dengfeng fire rescue team explained fire knowledge to shaolin monks and staff, show how to use fire equipment, and conduct actual operation and drills for how to eliminate hidden fire risks in winter.

then under the direction of firefighters, shaolin monks conducted fire drills in the songshan mountian fire-fighting and rescue station, to ensure that monks can actually master the usage of fire equipment such as fire extinguishers and so on, as well as effectively cope with hidden fire risks.

master yanbin, monastic manager of shaolin temple, stressed the importance of safety work, and requested that all departments should establish awareness of prevention rather than cure, timely investigate hidden fire risks, strictly standard the fire management system, implement safety responsibility and strengthen routine safeguard procedures to ensure fire safety of shaolin temple.
